The University of Faisalabad, Pakistan Pays Courtesy Visit to USM

December 29: USM was honoured to welcome a delegation from the The University of Faisalabad (TUF), Pakistan for a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening international collaboration between both institutions following the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between both universities in November 2025.
The visit focused on exploring potential avenues of cooperation, particularly in academic programs, research initiatives, staff and student exchange programs, joint degree initiatives, and community engagement.
The delegation was led by Mr. Mian Muhammad Hanif (SI), Patron of TUF and Patron-in-Chief of the Madinah Group. He was accompanied by Dr Muhammad Hamza Amin, Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors at TUF and Dr. Abu bakar, Chairman and Vice Chancellor University of
Rawalpindi.
The programme featured a comprehensive presentation introducing USM by Prof. Dato' Gs. Dr. Narimah Samat, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International). This was followed by an insightful sharing on by community engagement by Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Muhammad Izzidin Syakir Ishak, Director of the Community Network Office, and a presentation on sustainability initiatives by Ms. Sharifah Nurlaili Farhana Syed Azhar, Research Officer from the Center for Global Sustainability Studies (CGSS).
The visit marks an important step towards fostering meaningful global partnerships and advancing impactful collaborations that benefit both institutions and the wider community.
